I Told You I'd be Productive

After a discussion with Tim about our different cleanliness habits around the house, I decided I would put on some sweet jams and do some cleaning around the house. So yesterday I started bright and early after Tim left for Parkside and started with the bedroom. I got everything more clean than it has ever been before, reorganized the closet, finished my shoe rack and put my shoes on it for the first time (two racks aren’t even enough for all of my shoes!). One of our problems is we have more stuff and furniture than comfortably fits our space, so I thought I would take a look around and see what could be thrown away, what could be put in storage, and what could be moved around. I first noticed the bar stools we never use, and gathered those to put into storage. When I opened the door to our storage room, I saw that that needed some help too, and reorganized that space. After returning to the living room, it all went downhill. To make a long and boring story about my cleaning day short, I ended up destroying the apartment and switching the extra bedroom/bike room with the desk area. This decision happened around 6:30, a half hour before Tim was due home. Needless to say, he walked in to a total disaster, and I was a little scared of what he was going to say about the mess. To my surprise he was really excited about it! He had a snack and stared helping me move bikes and furniture! And when he saw that I needed a break, he took me out to dinner with Jeff and Margaret, Margaret’s mother, and her mother’s husband. So a disaster turned into a much better organized apartment and a realization that Tim was even more supportive than I thought.

Good ol' Tim!

I also wanted to make sure you know that Jen and I would love to see you this weekend- I know money's tight, but maybe you could think of it as a poor (wo)man's Easter. We'll ride bikes, eat good food and drink good coffee, and generally have a messenger-tastic time!

Tim, you're such a great guy, I think you should get another bike for being so understanding! ;)
