Bike Stupidity

1) Yesterday was the last Velo Bella training session. I rushed home from work, got dressed, made a sandwich, got all of my stuff in the car, went to grab my bike, and oh no. No pedals. My pedals are on my track bike. Crap crap crap. I went upstairs, frantically ripping through everything that might have a wrench in it, and nothing. Errr.

Note: Later, after missing the ride, I found out that the wrench was in some super secret pocket of one of Tim's bags. Who knew.

2) Today I was on the track for the second time. This means that it was also my second time on a fixed gear. I have no problems mounting, riding, slowing, but it's the dismounting I have troubles with. I went around the infield once and my seat was a tad bit too high. Gilby helped me lower it and I went around one more time to make sure it was right. I slowed down, unclipped, and bam. Fell over on the other side right on my knee. Ouch. Skinned it up pretty good. Skinned up my ego even more. I tried to take a picture, but I accidentally made a video and I can't figure out how to get anything from my phone to the computer yet, so you'll have to wait.

One of these days I'll figure it out.

I was so glad you could make it yesterday. Hope your knee (and the ego) is feeling okay today!
