In wintertime, all I want to do on the weekends is get out of the house because I've been hibernating all week. In the summertime I can't wait for that odd night that I can stay home and do nothing.

I finally have a pretty chill weekend. Last night I did a little shopping by myself, picked up some Thai food and met Tim at home. We had dinner in front of the tv and spent the night watching 4 episodes of Lost.

We got the first season on DVD and are pretty much addicted to it. I've been staying up past my bedtime all week just to watch "one more!" This show was on after something that I normally watch, so I've seen a bunch of episodes, but I never got into it until I started it from the beginning. There is a fansite too that has a lot of the little info that you may not have caught, like themes, symbolisms, and parallels. This is where my English major nerdiness come out.

Both of the kitties have started cuddling us when we're chillin' on the couch, which warms my heart each time.

My other favorite part of this lazy weekend is that I got to sleep in! No commitments today, and Tim is gone at a race so there's no, "Honey it's time to get up" at 8:30 in the morning because I'm "wasting my day sleeping." Nope, today was 11:30 for me, with Roscoe trying to get me up every half hour with head butts, nose bites, and ear licks. His new thing is to pick up my glasses and drop them on my face. Smart kitty.

The weather for the past 2 days has given me quite the excuse to not get off my butt and get outside. I haven't been on a bike since Sunday or ran since Saturday. A crappy part of summer is when other things keep you too busy to get outside and do those things you want to.

I'm going to spend the day with my mom and Andy and Carrie. They live so close, but I haven't been able to get there for awhile. So until next time....

Nermal likes to pull my glasses off the nightstand and let them crash to the floor, which he knows really annoys me. He only does that when I'm trying to sleep in and he's really hungry and wants food NOW!

Whoa! That IS one smart kitty!

My kitty plays with the mini blinds to get me up. Grrrrrrr, that is one irritating sound.
