A couple of weeks ago, Tim and I drove to Cedar Key. Cedar Key is a small town on the Gulf with a population just under 800. It used to be known as the honeymoon capital of the U.S., so we thought we'd go check it out. They have a cute downtown area with some shops and a lot of restaurants. We had chowder at Tony's, winners of the World Chowder Championships for the past two years. It was good chowder, but nothing like Flo's. We walked around downtown (about 4 blocks) and along the coast before heading home.
Cedar Key is a nice town, but we didn't find much to do there unless we wanted to charter a boat. Regardless, it was nice to see the ocean and feel the breeze.
